visibilityHow We Use Your Data

  • To provide the core app experience — syncing tasks, doodles, and calendars between you and your partner.
  • To send you push notifications for reminders, partner nudges, and important updates.
  • To improve the app by understanding which features couples love most (in aggregate, never individually).
  • To provide customer support when you reach out to us.
  • To keep the app secure and prevent abuse.

storageHow We Store Your Data

  • Your data is stored securely using Supabase (built on PostgreSQL) with row-level security policies.
  • All data in transit is encrypted using TLS/SSL.
  • Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms — we can never see your actual password.
  • Doodle images are stored in secure cloud storage with access restricted to you and your paired partner.
  • We use Supabase Auth for authentication, which follows industry best practices for security.

shareWho We Share Data With

  • Your paired partner — they can see shared tasks, doodles, and calendar events. That's the whole point!
  • Supabase — our database and authentication provider. They process data on our behalf under strict agreements.
  • Apple — for push notifications delivery and app distribution.
  • We NEVER sell your data to advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else. Period.
  • We NEVER share your individual data with third parties for marketing purposes.

securityYour Rights & Controls

  • View your data: See all your information in the app's Profile Settings.
  • Edit your data: Update your profile, tasks, and doodles anytime.
  • Delete your data: Delete your account from Profile Settings — all your data will be permanently removed within 30 days.
  • Unpair: Disconnect from your partner at any time. Shared data remains with the creator.
  • Notification controls: Manage push notification preferences in your device settings.

  • Our website uses minimal, essential cookies for basic functionality.
  • We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels.
  • We may use anonymous, aggregated analytics to understand how our website performs.
  • The iOS app does not use cookies. We collect basic anonymous analytics to improve app performance.

child_careChildren's Privacy

  • DottedDuo is designed for users aged 13 and older.
  • We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
  • If we discover that a child under 13 has created an account, we will delete it promptly.
  • If you believe a child under 13 is using DottedDuo, please contact us at privacy@dottedduo.com.

updateChanges to This Policy

  • We may update this privacy policy from time to time.
  • When we make meaningful changes, we'll notify you via the app or email.
  • The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when the policy was last revised.
  • Continued use of DottedDuo after changes means you accept the updated policy.
